For almost 70 years educating with values and excellence, now with a global vision: Colégio Sigea transforms into Colégio Maple Bear Estoril – Sigea.
Over more than six decades, Colégio D. Luísa Sigea has established itself as an educational benchmark, consistently and dedicatedly upholding the values that underpin its identity while adapting to the social, cultural, and pedagogical transformations in education.
Founded in 1956 by Professor Hermínio de Almeida Simões and Professor Isabel Simões, the College was born from a common purpose: to create a school where academic rigour, humanist values and the holistic development of the students were fundamental pillars of the educational project.
The history of Colégio Sigea has been built through a strong connection to the educational community and a pedagogical practice based on closeness, high expectations, and valuing the individual. Over the years, notable achievements include:
